Hope. Elizabeth Taylor. Tiffany. Special diamonds deserve a name.
The new owner of the 75.36 ct. briolette diamond pendant necklace sold at Christie’s Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels auction in May for a record-setting $11.1 million has named her piece “The Star of China.”
According to Christie’s, it’s the first diamond at auction to be given a name highlighting China. Tiffany Chan, vice chairman of China Star Entertainment Ltd., named it after her company.
