Jewelers International Showcase (JIS) welcomed its largest fall attendance ever at its recently concluded show at the Miami Beach Convention Center, held Oct. 13–16.
With approximately 5,500 buyers in attendance, the fall show saw a 24% increase in visitors over 2022. There was a rise in domestic attendees—from key states like New York, Ohio, Illinois, Tennessee, and North Carolina—and in international participation, particularly from Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, and India.
The JIS show is strategically scheduled so retailers can restock their inventories in advance of the holiday season. Offering a diverse range of products and innovations, this year’s show featured over 640 domestic and international exhibitors, organized in pavilions by product/service—such as lab-grown, silver, fashion, and equipment and technology—or by country (including Italy, Hong Kong, Turkey, and South Africa).
“We are thrilled to see such a fantastic response from attendees,” said JIS event director Sara McDonough in a statement. “The variety of exhibitors, especially the addition of several high-end brands, and the quality of products on display were exceptional, making JIS Fall 2023 a remarkable success for all that participated.”
In addition to the bustling product pavilion, JIS had a robust schedule of events, including daily Pavilion Pop-Ups, Galleria Lounge happy hours, a new-exhibitor happy hour, and the Cocktails and Connections event, which was sponsored by De Beers and open to all JIS attendees and exhibitors.
The next edition of JIS will be the spring show, scheduled to take place March 17–19, 2024, at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Registration and details will be available soon. For more information, visit jisshow.com.
