Canadian private equity fund Onex has purchased Nielsen Expositions, owner of the JA Show, Couture, and National Jeweler, for $950 million.
The division was reported to be up for sale in April.
Jewelry properties owned by Nielsen Expositions include Couture, the JA New York Winter & Summer shows, the JA Special Delivery Shows, and Nationaljeweler.com.
The transaction is likely to close in the second quarter.
In 2012, Nielsen Expositions, which owns many different shows across a variety of industries, generated revenues of approximately $183 million.
