Bon-Ton Stores has appointed Kathryn Bufano, current president and chief merchandising officer of Belk, its new CEO. Bufano will hold the title of president as well.
She replaces Brendan L. Hoffman, the current CEO, who has decided not to renew his three-year employee agreement. He will remain a member of the board.
Bufano has served as president and chief merchandising officer of Belk since August 2009. She has also held top positions at Vanity Shops, Sears, and Dress Barn.
