Fine jewelry designer Polly Wales has shared with JCK that her namesake brand will host a pop-up shop inside the Foundrae flagship store in New York City Dec. 20-22, 2018. The “shop” will comprise several cases of Polly Wales pieces featured on Foundrae’s main sales floor.
Wales and Foundrae founder Beth Bugdaycay forged a friendship at Las Vegas Jewelry Week this year, and the pair later shared a showroom space at Paris market, where they discovered that their collections sell well side by side.
Wales and her team eventually reached out to Bugdaycay, who had mentioned how much she loves sharing her new space with others, about doing an event during the holiday shopping season.
“Working with and getting to know Beth this year has been such a pleasure, and I love her sense of style and easygoing chic,” says Wales. “So it felt like a really great fit for me.” She adds that “doing a pop-up has been high on my agenda for a long time.”
The selling space will be visually different than the larger store, says a representative for Polly Wales, explaining, “We are very conscious of having our own space but making it cohesive within Beth’s beautiful store.”
The entire Polly Wales collection will be available at the pop-up shop, which will have a focus on giftable pieces, including crystal rings, earrings, and necklaces. The bridal collection will be highlighted for holiday engagements, alongside a handful of showstopping pieces, including special padlock necklaces and skull rings.
Prices for jewelry will range from $990 to $33,000. Wales won’t be making an appearance at the pop-up, but the shop will be staffed with sales associates who are well-versed in her product.
