If the pop culture events of the past few months have taught us anything, it’s that we’re living in a Barbie world.
The Greta Gerwig–directed, Margot Robbie–starring movie has now banked more than $1 billion, and ranks as the highest-grossing film in Warner Bros. history (the previous record-holder was the final installment of the Harry Potter series!). Everyone everywhere is, to quote Kay Thompson, thinking pink.
Of course, the jewelry industry has been trumpeting the power of pink long before Barbie burst onto the big screen. When Pantone picked Viva Magenta as the 2023 Color of the Year, we all started thinking more about hot pink gemstones. And since then, we’ve been pretty much obsessed with any and every shade of pink.
With our international color obsession in mind, I reached out to a handful of jewelry companies that will be exhibiting at VicenzaOro—which runs Sept. 8–12 in Vicenza, Italy—and asked them to send me their pink picks. Some have just a small pop of pink, while others are super-saturated. Of course, this is just a small selection: Keep in mind that there are more than 1,200 exhibitors at VO.
In other words, you won’t have any trouble finding the perfect pink piece.
