On June 12, Phillips is hosting its New York Jewels auction, led by a fancy vivid yellow diamond with an estimated value of $2.8 million to $3.5 million. The diamond weighs just over 45 carats and has unusual step-cut faceting.
Phillips’ 125-lot sale, to be held at its Manhattan headquarters at 432 Park Ave., boasts an impressive selection of colored diamonds and gemstones, period jewelry, and designs by prestigious brands including Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, and Bulgari.

From a very important 45-carat yellow diamond to a Cartier ‘Méandres-Bavoir’ diamond necklace from 1953, we are proud to offer our collectors such a magnificent array of jewels that embody the very best the category has to offer.”
Other top-value pieces in the upcoming New York Jewels auction include a 4 ct. fancy intense green diamond estimated to achieve up to $350,000 and a striking Cartier diamond ring with a 3.07 ct. light blue pear-shape center stone, expected to sell for $200,000 to $300,000.
