Industry columnist and author Peter Smith will keynote the 10th annual Portland Jewelry Symposium, being held Oct. 1 and 2 in Portland, Ore.
Smith, also the CEO of Vibhor, will share thoughts on the future of jewelry stores.
Also speaking at the Future Think portion of the event: Kevin Abernathy of BisVentures, retail business expert Becka Johnson Kibby of Edge Retail, Monica Stephenson of idazzle, and Jennifer Caban of Olympus, a specialist in analytics technology.
Peggy Jo Donahue will host a tech-focused panel featuring jewelers Calla Gold, Wendy Brandes, and Lisa Krikawa.
Other presenters: goldsmith and inventor Phil Poirier of Bonny Doon Engineering; designer Annie Koenig of Annie K & Motorhead Jewelry; gemstone carver Sherris Cottier Shank of Gemscapes; and bench expert Kristi Broussard of Stuller.
