Hot on the heels of releasing its first new collection in 25 years (Cubitus), Patek Philippe turns to charitable actions, donating a specially designed Nautilus watch and matching pair of cufflinks to a fundraiser for the Switzerland-based group Children Action.
Both the one-of-a-kind steel Nautilus timepiece, ref. 5711/1500A, and the cufflinks boast hand-engraved Maori-inspired motifs. Further, the watch’s sapphire caseback has a subtle inscription reading “Children Action 2024.”
The Patek Philippe pieces will be auctioned as part of Children Action’s annual gala, taking place Nov. 25 in Geneva. Typically attended by influential philanthropists, celebrities, and business leaders, the event features performances and presentations about Children Action’s ongoing projects. Aurel Bacs of Phillips Bacs & Russo will conduct the auction.
Proceeds from the auction and gala fund Children Action, founded in 1994 by Denis von der Weid with a mission to improve the lives of disadvantaged children globally and especially in developing countries. Its initiatives focus on medical care (including critical surgeries), mental health support, education, and legal protection.
