Ah, to be young, constantly falling in love, and working in Paris: Those are among the joys of watching Netflix’s Emily in Paris, which features actor Lily Collins as the title character known for her joie de vivre as well as her fashionable clothing and jewelry.
The show that critics love to hate and fans hate to miss drops season three on Dec. 21, and fine jewelry brands dinh van Paris and Messika Paris are helping create that Parisian fantasy of dressing your best both personally and professionally as epitomized by the show’s Emily Cooper.
Emily Cooper’s look has evolved as the American has adapted to living in Paris, bringing vibrant color, patterns, and high fashion to creator Darren Star’s show. Star is best known for creating such legendary fashion-forward television shows such as Sex in the City; Melrose Place; and Beverly Hills, 90210.
Cooper’s jewelry has followed this path as well, and both dinh van Paris and Messika Paris are ideal partners in this phase of her life.
Since 1965, dinh van Paris has given its clients that balance between precious jewels and metals with an everyday aesthetic. For Emily in Paris, the Parisian jewelry house brings in diamonds as well as its signature menottes dinh van, which are the central jewels worn toward the end of the season. The menottes dinh van are a symbol of unbreakable bonds between two people—a hint of what viewers will see in this story line.
For Messika Paris, Emily Cooper will wear the Lucky Move PM necklace and the Glam’Azone double pavé ring, both of which are symbolic of the French jewelry maison. Founded in 2005, Messika is known for its diamond expertise and easy-to-wear, modern designs from Valérie Messika.
Here are highlights of some of the jewelry viewers will see in season three of Emily in Paris.
Netflix has already renewed Emily in Paris for a fourth season; its release date has not yet been set. All 10 episodes of season three are now available on the streaming service as of Dec. 21.
Top: This bold yellow gold ring is a bit rebellious, dinh van says, with a bit of whimsy thrown in ($3,250). Still, it serves as a symbol of union within this delicate version of the iconic brand’s menottes dinh van tradition (photo courtesy of dinh van Paris).
