Pandora has hired Karl Walsh (pictured) as its senior vice president of e-commerce.
Walsh’s hiring is part of an organizational adjustment, whereby e-commerce is now being treated as an independent area of the company, the charm manufacturer said in a statement.
According to LinkedIn, Walsh is the former associate director for digital and e-commerce for Boston Consulting Group, as well as a cofounder of Brandtone, a Dublin, Ireland–based company that builds consumer databases for mobile marketing. He received his MBA from Columbia University.
“The recruitment is part of Pandora’s focus on becoming a leader in omni-channel retail as part of the 2022 strategy, which was presented on Capital Markets Day in January,” a statement said.
As part of the shift, Minna Philipson, senior vice president of global marketing, is leaving the company. Philipson was one of the speakers at Capital Markets Day.
Walsh will report to CEO Anders Colding Friis.
