A new collection, Pandora has. And the Force is presumably strong with it.
On Thursday, the global jewelry brand debuted a capsule collection, Star Wars x Pandora, that pays homage to ultimate space saga Star Wars. The jewelry series introduces 12 new pieces: 10 charms, a bracelet, and a limited-edition collector’s charm—all made from 71% recycled metals.
The charms render legendary and more recent Star Wars characters including Baby Yoda, R2-D2, Darth Vader, C-3PO as cute and compact figurines, echoing the lovably squat proportions of the Child (aka Baby Yoda) in Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian.
The Chewbacca charm is more teddy bear than fearsome wookie! But all of the interpretations, forged in sterling silver and an 18k gold–plated base alloy, stay true to the characters’ core essences and are easily recognizable.
“We wanted to tap into the futuristic-yet-vintage aesthetic of Star Wars that’s well-known from the original trilogy all the way to the new Disney+ series The Mandalorian,” said Francesco Terzo, one of Pandora’s vice president creative directors, in a prepared statement. “We worked hard to transform the pieces of Star Wars into jewelry using intricate design detailing and expert craftsmanship techniques.”
Paul Southern, senior vice president of licensing for Lucasfilm, which owns all things Star Wars, said in the same statement, “The collection succeeds in capturing the symbols and beloved characters of Star Wars and reimagining them in jewelry form.”
Prices for charms range from $55 to $90. And the sterling silver Stars Wars logo snake chain bracelet is $90.
Here are a few of our favorite charms from the collection.
