Designers, goldsmiths, and manufacturers in the jewelry industry will converge May 11 through 14 in Tuscany for the 43rd edition of Oroarezzo, an annual international trade show organized by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG).

Held in the city of Arezzo, Oroarezzo celebrates gold and silver jewelry as well as the “Made in Italy” spirit. It also highlights jewelry manufacturing, components, and technology.

“Oroarezzo stands as the premier destination for gold, silver, and jewelry manufacturing, offering precise business matching. Its unique positioning and diverse offerings allow attendees to engage with exhibitors, discussing projects and needs,” Matteo Farsura, global exhibition manager of IEG’s jewelry and fashion division, tells JCK via email.

“Additionally, attendees can draw inspiration from trends showcased in gold creations crafted by exhibitors, who will compete in the 33rd edition of the contest Premiere, whose theme this year is ‘Love and Beauty.’”

Many Oroarezzo exhibitors come from Italy, but companies from other countries, including Turkey, Spain, and Portugal, also will exhibit. Among the exhibitors mentioned by Farsura are Richline Italia for classic earrings, rings, and bracelets; Giordini, renowned for 60 years of luxury craftsmanship; Omega Art, offering artistic chain textures; Arezzo’s A.M.P., COAR, and Croma Catene, with diverse chain designs; Quadrifoglio and Silo, which both provide customizable clasps; and Unoaerre, whose wide range of products includes wedding bands and finished jewelry.

Continuing to cite exhibitors, Farsura says Alessi Domenico from Vicenza sells diamond-adorned chains, Karizia emphasizes design freedom, and Chrysos is recognized for technological excellence. F.lli Bovo, Veneroso, and D’Orica, Gold Art, and Artlinea cater to customization, he says, while Moraglione 1922, Giloro, and New Ander specialize in jewelry production.

The event also features educational programming. “Technical-scientific workshops further enrich the experience by covering supply chain topic like surface treatments, responsible sourcing, financial stability, retail management, and communication—hosted by various associations, institutions, and companies,,” Farsura says.

Oroarezzo’s Premiere competition will again include the Talents category for designers under age 30 and students from Italian goldsmith schools. IEG debuted Talents in 2023, and the winner will be able to have their design produced in collaboration with one of the Oroarezzo exhibitors.

Jewelry students are invited to participate in Career Day, on May 14, when they can attend the show, explore the industry, and connect with exhibitors.

Farsura notes a can’t-miss panel, scheduled for May 13: “The ‘Precious Fashion‘ talk explores the intersection of jewelry and fashion accessory production, offering a unique insight into the intersection of these two dynamic industries, from high-level finishes to sustainable surface treatments, presenting new synergies and opportunities,” he says.

“Oroarezzo demonstrates industry resilience and how Italian Exhibition Group supports collective navigation of challenges through trade shows,” says Farsura. “For example, we offer solutions that drive innovation in sustainability and efficiency, such as lightweight jewelry design to mitigate gold price fluctuations.”

Arezzo is an ideal location for the trade show, according to Farsura, because it lies in the heart of a goldsmithing production district with traditions dating back to 6th century B.C. The city has approximately 1,200 manufacturing companies, he says.

“Attending and organizing Oroarezzo is a passion for me because it celebrates the fusion of tradition and innovation in Italian goldsmithing. Witnessing Italian manufacturing excellence and facilitating connections among industry professionals, particularly with an emphasis on nurturing young talent, is incredibly rewarding,” says Farsura.

“Informal gatherings in the heart of Arezzo provide opportunities to engage with peers, exhibitors, and industry experts while immersing oneself in the city’s rich artistic and historical heritage within the beautiful region of Tuscany,” he adds.

IEG owns and organize several jewelry trade shows, including Vicenzaoro, held twice a year in the Venice area; Jewellery, Gem & Technology Dubai (in joint venture with Informa Markets), which takes place in November; and the Singapore International Jewelry Expo, coming up in July.
