The Ohio Jewelers Education Foundation will now offer scholarships to any jeweler who is a member of the Mid-America Jewelers Association.
Previously, the scholarships could only be awarded to members of the association operating in Ohio. President Dan Pugh and fellow board members voted to extend scholarship opportunities to the entire retail membership regardless of state boundaries.
The scholarships, which are awarded based on eligibility and compliance by the scholarship committee, are offered for GIA training courses, AGS training courses, and bench training.
