In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Atlanta Jewelry Show is introducing a hybrid event for its October show, which will include both in-persona and virtual elements.
The show was originally scheduled for early August. In May, its organizer, the Southern Jewelry Travelers Association, postponed it to October.
The in-person event will be held on October 24–25 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. A virtual marketplace will occur at the same time. Its education conference, rebranded as AJS ConnectED, will be held on Friday, Oct. 23.
For people who are attending the show, several safety precautions have been announced, which include face masks, temperature screenings, and sanitizing barriers. They can be seen here.
“We’d love to see you at the event, so we’re implementing a number of measures in order to reduce contact and ensure distance,” said Libby Brown, executive director of the Atlanta Jewelry Show, in a statement. “However, we understand there are a several factors that may prevent you from joining us in person. Your health and safety is absolutely paramount, which has sparked a renewed commitment not only to providing attendees a successful event, but also a safe place to connect and move our industry forward.”
