Denver-based fine jewelry brand Nina Nguyen Designs is set to launch a trend-filled new collection at JCK Las Vegas next week. The designer gave us an exclusive sneak peek.
Hand-forged in sterling silver and 18k yellow gold, the collection of bangles, earrings, and necklaces features on-trend hammered and cross-hatched textures, hand-polished satin finishes, and of-the-moment gemstones, including lapis, chrysoprase, multicolored sapphires, rutilated black quartz, moonstones, and diamonds—many set east-west, a signature setting for the brand.
Nguyen, whose family is from Vietnam, was inspired by the winding Mekong River, which flows through five countries from the Tibetan Plateau to the Mekong Delta in southern Vietnam.
“After ten years of designing and watching styles change, the Mekong collection is the result of my hands-on experience and ability to identify trends,” she said in a statement.
