While the recent Inhorgenta Munich jewelry show—which ran Feb. 24–27—plays host to a roster of international luxury jewelry brands, its locale highlights an important country for jewelry design: Germany.
With a long history of jewelry making and a reputation for cutting-edge, modern design, Germany is home to a vast body of jewelry-making talent, in a range of materials and prices.
We gathered some new pieces from four different designers and brands hailing from Germany, showcasing a varied range of styles.
Rareté Studios’ Bold
The aptly named Bold from young German brand Rareté Studios comprises a colorful array of jewels designed and manufactured in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. From a magical one-of-a-kind pink sapphire bracelet—which the brand considers its finest bracelet to date—to the slightly more casual and playful line of Bubble bracelets, these fine jewels put a spring in our step.
Judith Peterhoff’s Orno
“Organic fluidity meets exquisite craftsmanship,” read the notes on Judith Peterhoff‘s Orno collection, with pieces made from recycled silver and gold. The latest additions to the collection include a modern pair of threader earrings, a commitment ring with a striking padparadscha sapphire, and a wide band with a flowing row of diamonds.
Tamara Comolli’s Gypsy
A collection that “enhances the bohemian spirit and brings up a distinctive playfulness,” Tamara Comolli‘s Gypsy includes glimmering Sun pendants and hoop earrings, Crown rings and Memoire bands perfect for stacking, and gorgeous ear crawlers to make a colorful statement.
Coeur De Lion’s spring-summer 2023
Celebrating 35 years in business, Germany’s Coeur De Lion explores the beauty of nature with its latest collection for spring and summer. Its Handmade in Germany collection is manufactured in Stuttgart, including the brand’s signature Geocube design—featured throughout its range of designs. From Gentle Guardian, which offers a new interpretation on the popular amulet design, to its use of pearls, Coeur De Lion offers something for everyone at a great price.
