Trade show officials said Thursday that the dates of Watch & Jewellery Dubai have changed to coincide with a new law in the United Arab Emirates. The new dates and times are as follows:
* Dec. 12-14, 3 p.m. till 6 p.m., trade only; 6 p.m. till 10 p.m., trade and general public.
* Dec. 15-16 4 p.m. till 10 p.m., trade and general public.
The show will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Trade show officials said that new dates will allow the exhibition to start on Tuesday and end on Saturday, which will include the Friday/Saturday weekend. This is in line with a federal law recently passed in the UAE that as of Sept. 1, UAE will streamline its weekends to Friday/Saturday.
“The new weekend dates will ensure a greater visitor flow to the exhibition,” officials said in a statement.
