Neiman Marcus is shutting 10 of its off-price Last Call stores, according to several news reports.
The nameplate currently includes 38 stores, so this number represents about one-quarter of its present fleet.
Around 241 workers will lose their jobs.
Neiman Marcus had jumped on the off-price bandwagon in the wake of the success of off-price retailers like T. J. Maxx. But now a statement said that it is “investing in [its] strengths as the clear leader of high-end luxury retail.”
