The Natural Colored Diamond Association (NCDIA) will hold a panel discussion, “Natural Diamonds from Canada’s Arctic Circle,” at the upcoming JCK Las Vegas show.
The panel will include presentations from Jim Pounds, executive vice president of diamonds for Dominion Diamond Mines, and Reid Mackie, vice president of diamond marketing for Mountain Province Diamonds. It will be moderated by JCK news director Rob Bates.
The presentation is meant to showcase the “unique story” of natural diamonds from Canada. It will be held on the Showcase Stage, JCK Show Floor, Saturday, June 1, 3–3:45 p.m. More information can be seen here.
NCDIA also named three people to its advisory board: Matthew Tratner, Henry Ho, and Cecilia Wun.
Tratner joined Jewelers of America as director of membership and sales in 2013 and became publisher of National Jeweler in 2015, when JA took over the publication. He joined the Gemological Institute of America earlier this year.
Ho is the chairman of the Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences, a Bangkok-based lab and school, which he founded in 1978.
Wun is the U.S. branch manager of UBM, the trade show company. She is in charge of North American exhibitors at the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair.
