Share

Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA) has elected Edward N. DeCristofaro, president of Providence, R.I.–based manufacturer LDC, as chair of its board of directors.

He previously served as chair from 2012 to 2014. Since then, he has continued to serve on the board as an officer at large.

DeCristofaro has been part of the jewelry industry since he was 17 years old, joining LDC shortly after his father, Lawrence, started the company. Edward built many of LDC’s proprietary machines and tools, and became the firm’s sole owner in 2003.

He is a past president of the Providence Jewelers Club and currently serves on the board of the Jewelers Board of Trade. DeCristofaro is also a member of both the 24 Karat Club of New York City and the Boston Jewelers Club.

Joseph Esposito, MJSA’s former chair, will become chair of the MJSA Education Foundation, a subsidiary that supports career and training initiatives for students and workers throughout the jewelry industry. Esposito is executive vice president of National Chain Group in Warwick, R.I.
