Paris-based jewelry house Messika has named Edouard Schneider chief brand officer.

In his new role, Schneider will be responsible for Messika’s communication and brand image activities, including public relations, celebrity partnerships, events, social media, and visual merchandising.

Schneider has worked in luxury fashion for over 20 years. He joins Messika after six years as global communications director for Acne Studios, the high-end Swedish clothing line.

Prior to that, he was global public and press relations director for Louis Vuitton and chief communications officer at Maison Margiela.

Messika creative director and founder Valérie Messika said in a statement that Schneider’s experience will help the company “as we expand our international footprint.”

The brand currently has divisions in New York City, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Dubai.
