Cartier Vet Mercedes Abramo Joins Ralph Lauren

Share

Mercedes Abramo, the 15-year Cartier veteran who left the jeweler last month, has been appointed regional CEO of Ralph Lauren North America, effective March 1.

She will succeed Bob Ranftl, who has been named Ralph Lauren’s chief operating officer.

Abramo’s new role brings her back to New York City, where she began her career. She joined Cartier in 2008, as director of its Fifth Avenue flagship, and worked her way up, becoming president and CEO for Cartier North America in 2014. In 2023, she was named Cartier’s deputy chief commercial officer.

Abramo has been honored by Jewelers for Children and the Women’s Jewelry Association.
