Matthew Tratner Appointed JA Show Director

JA New York has appointed industry veteran Matthew Tratner as group show director, effective Oct. 23.

He takes over the role from Drew Lawsky, who ran the show for 29 years before retiring in 2021.

“This industry is fueled by relationships, and Matthew has meaningful connections that extend throughout all facets of the jewelry industry ecosystem,” said Gannon Brousseau, executive vice president of JA New York’s parent, Emerald, in a statement.

Tratner most recently was senior vice president of business development and marketing for GCAL by Sarine—a position he took after helping broker the GCAL/Sarine partnership as vice president and general manager of Sarine North America. Prior to that, Tratner worked for GIA as director, global business development. He’d previously served as director of membership and sales for Jewelers of America and publisher of National Jeweler.

The next JA show will take place Oct. 29 to 31 at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan.
