Macy’s Appoints Chief Customer and Digital Officer

Macy’s has appointed Massimo “Max” Magni chief customer and digital officer. In this role, he will guide the company’s digital business, including e-commerce sites, mobile apps, marketplace, loyalty, and gift registry.

Magni reports to Tony Spring, president and CEO-elect of Macy’s. Spring will take over as Macy’s CEO after longtime chief executive Jeff Genrette retires in February 2024.

Magni spent more than 20 years at McKinsey & Company, most recently as a senior partner co-leading McKinsey’s NeXT Commerce and the global leader of its consumer growth practices division. He has a B.S. in international economics from Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
