Las Vegas Jewelry Week officially kicked off yesterday with the opening of the LUXURY by JCK show at Mandalay Bay, a collection of just under 500 high-end jewelry, watch, and loose-stone exhibitors.
I’ll be visiting with designers and collections today at LUXURY and look forward to checking out the spectacular new offerings from established collections and show newbies (of which there are many). Here are four veteran LUXURY brands that always reside at the top of my must-see list.
Erica Courtney’s Saturn ring, price on request
Erica Courtney’s Royal ring, price on request
Erica Courtney
Los Angeles designer Erica Courtney has been pairing insanely gorgeous colored stones with intricate and embellished settings for decades. She doesn’t bend and sway with trends because she doesn’t need to—her work is timeless. The designer is showcasing her signature Drop Dead Gorgeous collection at LUXURY, featuring jewelry set with jaw-droppingly beautiful gems. Booth: LUX-801
Mazza Co.’s Rainbow Moonstone Cab gold bracelet, price on request
Mazza Co.’s Multicolor Venetian Glass gold bracelet, price on request
The Mazza Co.
This 5th generation family–owned firm is all about color and old-world craftsmanship—and always has been. I’m especially excited to touch and try the collection’s new gold-and-multicolored gemstone bracelets and rings that incorporate design accents borrowed from ancient Italy. Booth: LUX-P1821
Lauren K’s Mischa morganite and diamond ring, $4,195
Lauren K’s Joyce earrings with aquamarine and boulder opals, $3,675
Lauren K
New York City designer Lauren Kessler creates beautiful earthy-chic pieces that highlight vividly hued precious and semiprecious stones. The brand’s drop earrings, which work well for women of all ages, stand out for their unusual color combinations and delicate designs. Booth: LUX-P1825
Fusing ancient design with modern aesthetics, designer Lika Behar creates heirloom-ready pieces in high-carat gold and gold-and-silver combinations. Best of all: You can always see and feel the human hand in the collection. Booth: LUX-P1921
