Luxe Software, a New York City-based company that provides cloud-based operating systems for jewelry stores, has raised $2 million in seed funding, it announced Tuesday.
Luxe also announced that Val Katayev (pictured) has been appointed CEO and will join the company’s board.
The funding round was led by Bienville Capital Management. Luxe will use the money to accelerate its product development and expand its footprint in the jewelry industry. Its software suite combines point-of-sale, customer relationship management, analytics, communication, and inventory management tools.
Katayev is the founder of Jocalio Group, a data-driven jewelry manufacturer, and he will continue as Jocalio’s CEO. He previously founded ToneMedia and ToneFuse, two digital marketing companies that were acquired by Lagardère Group.
Amiraj Dhawan, a former engineer for DoorDash and Yelp, started Luxe Software last year and serves as its chief technology officer.
