On the Luxury show floor yesterday, I met iZi Creations, a
diamond jewelry manufacturer from New York City. The firm is exhibiting in
Luxury for the first time, though it’s been a JCK vendor for quite some time; the
move to Mandalay Bay seemed like a good time for iZi to relocate as well, Izidor
Kamhi told JCK.
Pieces are mainly made in 14k gold now due to prices (18k
was a mainstay), and items are made in New York as well as overseas. Styles are
mainstream looking—think geometric motifs with negative space—and irradiated colored
diamonds are evident, as are price-point-sensitive finds like sets of diamond stud
earrings with jackets, comprising three different looks total, for about $1,600
retail.
A fun find at this booth: a trio of open-worked, oval-motif
rings with sizing beads (or, bars) on shank bottoms for ease of manipulation.
Each is keystone-priced from $3,769–$5,660 with around 3 carats of diamonds.
Check them out at LUX1330.
