Les Georgettes Is Creating a Jewelry Collection for Kids

You don’t see a lot of jewelry for kids (or maybe I just haven’t been looking for it?), but if little gals or guys are anything like their jewelry-loving parents, perhaps they’d like something to adorn themselves with, too.

It makes sense that parents or other gift-givers would be weary of spending too much money on jewelry for a child: It could get lost; if it’s delicate, it could get broken, and so on (it’s not that kids are jerks to their jewelry on purpose, some just haven’t learned to take good care of their personal belongings yet).

Les Georgettes is about to help in that department, with the debut of its Les Miss Georgettes collection.

Though the collection is targeted to young girls (“discover the jewelry line for young girls who want to be just like mom,” reads a press release), I’d argue that any youngster looking to adorn their wrist will find something they like (if dads can have a Les Georgettes bracelet, why can’t little boys—or girls who admire their dads, too?).

The line features mini-me versions of five of the brand’s most popular full-size pieces from the Les Essentielles collection, as well as six brand-new styles created just for Les Miss Georgettes. Each piece features that interchangable style we’ve come to enjoy from the Parisian company, with leather and fluid-perspex strips that may be inserted to change the whole look in a snap.

With prices starting at $39, shoppers can rest easy that they’re treating their little jewelry lovers to something special without putting their piggy banks at risk. What better way to introduce a budding collector to the joys of jewelry than with a bracelet that they can customize as their very own?

The 11 designs are available now.
