There’s a lot to love about autumn, but its leaves may very well be the best thing. After all, can you imagine the thought of the season without foliage? I should think not.
But fall is coming to a close, as evidenced by the trees. Once flourishing in red, orange, and yellow, their branches are now bare, a sight we’ll most likely tire of seeing come January, as we long for spring’s flowers to show up (though they won’t, until at least April).
Thanksgiving, which is most definitely considered one of autumn’s holidays, is just around the corner. For those who like to dress on theme, leaf—or leaves—jewelry is perfect for the occasion. It’s actually a beautiful icon to wear anytime of year, as leaves are thought to be symbolic of fertility and growth, as well as the circle of life. It can also simply be a talisman of nature, a lovely gift for those who enjoy being outdoors.
It’s also fun to play a bit with the shape of leaves, with jewels that aren’t meant to be a representation of foliage per se, but just sort of happen to look that way. It’s also interesting to note that the pendant above, by Clogau, is considered a feather—a flexible look, in my opinion, that can be considered either or.
Winter may be coming, but the fall can live on through exquisite jewelry looks such as these.
