Reed Exhibitions has appointed Lauren Thompson (pictured) as group marketing director of the JCK Las Vegas, Luxury, and JCK Tucson shows, part of the Reed Jewelry Group.
In her new role, Thompson will oversee the integrated marketing strategy for the different shows and work with the programming, sales, and executive teams to support show development and enhanced communications.
For 14 years, she worked for Jewelers of America (JA), where she eventually rose to associate director of communications and digital development. At JA, she also worked with the organization’s partner brands, National Jeweler and the Diamond Council of America.
In addition, she helped promote industry events such as JA’s annual Gem Awards and the launch of the organization’s first national convention in 2019. Thompson began her career at business-to-business publications Basel magazine and Live Design.
Thompson is also heavily involved with the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) and currently serves as the vice president of chapter affairs for the executive WJA International Board.
