Kering has appointed Laurent Claquin its first-ever chief brand officer, effective July 1.
Claquin has been with Kering since 2005 and has served as president of Kering, Americas since 2012.
In his new position, he will aim to “enhance the appeal of Kering’s corporate brand, as well as increase its visibility and influence” with “consistent messaging across all touchpoints,” according to a Kering statement.
It said Claquin also will develop “high-profile events” for Kering’s brands, which include jewelry companies Boucheron, Pomellato, and Qeelin.
Claquin has previously been senior vice president of communications and head of corporate social responsibility for Kering, and was CEO of its Tomas Maier division from 2017 to 2018. He began his career as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
