Hey, everyone. It’s soon-to-be Vegas time!
I will be moderating a panel on “The State of the Lab-Grown Industry”—because that topic isn’t talked about enough—on Thursday, June 9, at 1–1:45 p.m. in Room 101, level one of The Venetian. Panelists will be John Pollard, International Gemological Institute; Marty Hurwitz, The MVEye; and Tanya Nisguretsky, Virtual Diamond Boutique (VDB).
The object of the panel is not to rehash the same pro and con arguments (ugh), but to get into the weeds of the current market. What’s happening with smalls? Will the expiration of treatment patents mean higher colors? How are they cut differently? More information here. Hope to see you there.
