The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas will kick off with a two day complimentary education program that will offer presentations by some of the industry’s most respected experts. JCK’s keynote presentation on the opening day of the Show will be Joan Rivers. The 15th show will be held with a new date pattern from June 3 to June 7 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center and Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino.
Joan Rivers will present “From the Red Carpet: All Eyes on Style and Trends.” Rivers is a legendary entertainer and an icon of American culture. Her presentation will be held on June 3 at 8:45 a.m. in the Delfino Ballroom. Rivers will provide a frank, touching, and hilarious look at her life and the challenges she has met along the way; and reflect on her success as a business owner and share the trials and tribulations she has faced.
The educational program will take place on June 1 and 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There are five separate tracks that will run each day. On Thursday the tracks are Diamonds, Gem Day, Business, Jewelers Notebook and Especially for Vendors. The hour-long seminars will include topics, such as “The GIA Diamond Cut Grading System,” “Gem Carving Inspirational and Skills,” and “The Business of Brands.” On Friday, the five separate tracks are Diamonds, Gem Day, Business, Fashion, and From the Industry.Ttopics include “Shifts in the Diamond Pipeline,” “Add More Color to Your Life,” and “Profit Mastery: Practical Tools to Assess the Health of Your Business.”
The editors of JCK magazine, along with conference consultant Charlotte Preston have put together a dynamic roster of speakers with a wealth of industry knowledge. In addition to the magazine’s senior editorial staff members, speakers include representatives from AGS Diamond Grading Laboratory, Gem Art Center, Gemworld Intl., AGTA GTC, Ronald Ringsrud Co., Gem Book Publishers, The Arnstein Co., Interactive Group Ltd./Eurobrands, and Performance Concepts.
In addition, there will be several educational events. Lynn Diamond, executive director of Diamond Promotion Service, will present “Journey with DPS to a New Diamond Jewelry Product, Your Next Big Sales Opportunity,” June 4. The following day, Martin Rapaport, publisher of Rapaport Diamond Report will discuss the state of the diamond industry including global trends from sourcing to marketing.
