No month of the year shows a greater transition than September. One moment, we’re soaking up the last of summer’s sun rays; the next, we’re in a mad dash to the finish line of the holiday season.
I’m already seeing that transition take effect, with Labor Day weekend passed and the autumn equinox just over a week away. The jewels that are coming in seem to be larger, an anticipation of dressing for the season both in heavier fabrics and in more festive attire—lots of glitter, chunky gold, and darker hues. And sapphires, of course.
