Jewels From My Inbox: December 2023 Edition

This time of year often feels like we regain a touch of that senioritis, doesn’t it?

So eager are we for a break that we start to wrap up, slow down, and turn off. Only, the holiday break isn’t exactly senior year—it might amount to just a few days off for many, hardly comparable to the summer many young people spend between high school and whatever they might choose to do with their futures. But I think it’s less about the time spent and more about the notion of a fresh start, a clean slate, one possibly brought on by a new year as much as growing up.

So yes, we’re wrapping up. Even if only for a few glorious, food- and family-filled days, if we’re fortunate enough, we’re nailing down our year-end lists, trying to send customers home with the perfect gifts for their loved ones, and despite all calls to power off, looking ahead to the new year.

My inbox rings of this sentiment, with the hottest gift-worthy items still rolling in and festive fashions to don now, but too, a notable gear switch toward 2024 and all its wonders. Care to indulge in peach a la Pantone? We have the jewels for that (and they’re good). Ready to stock what you need after the holiday boom? There are plenty of options for that too. New collections trickle in, though most have been revealed for 2023 and if they haven’t, they’ll wisely wait until the holiday dust has cleared. And don’t forget the birthstones of December, some of the most beautiful around, turquoise and tanzanite. Now the month of December barrels toward the halfway point with plenty to offer by way of new and en vogue jewelry, so to close out 2023, here are some jewels from my December inbox.
