March wasn’t so much “in like a lion, out like a lamb,” but it was quick as lightning. Only a few days remain in this month that can’t ever decide between winter and spring, and hopefully warmth will prevail as we enter April.
In March, I saw loads of aquamarine, as one might expect when it’s the birthstone. I’d never complain about that, though: This seaworthy stone is always a welcome sight, calming and beautiful with its blue.
Another headliner of the month, St. Patrick’s Day, brought a sky full of rainbow jewels, some in the shape of a rainbow, others colorful concoctions of gemstones. While indeed timely, rainbows are hot in jewelry, and even more so as we move closer to summer. I’m looking forward to the flood of rainbow jewelry that will delight us this year, as it has in years past.
And March simply couldn’t progress without plenty of flowers, the unofficial (official?) symbol of spring. We’ll never want for fresh flower jewels, and that is a wonderful thing. Below, some of the most memorable pieces that danced through my inbox this month.
