The last full month of summer is coming to a close, and already many eyes are on the approaching autumn. As such, August is a mishmash of summery shades and bold fall hues, though warm yellow gold has remained consistently present.
In terms of color, summer’s most beloved blues and greens came in hot and fast in the form of gemstones such as turquoise, tourmaline, and aquamarine, with a sprinkling of sweet baby pink that I can’t help but want to pair with autumnal burgundy and brown.
Cocktail rings had their moment, and I don’t see that dwindling as we head into the holidays—prime time for adorning fingers with the big and bold.
With both the Olympics and several tournaments happening throughout the month, there was much ado about tennis jewelry—both in its classic form and more modern, abstract iterations. A good tennis necklace or bracelet is an instant classic, making it a great investment piece for shoppers now and well into the holiday season.
And speaking of the holiday season, henceforth, we might as well be decking halls and singing hymns and carols—it’s practically here. So long, summer! We can’t wait to see you again next year.
