What a Jewelry Publicist Wants: The Ultimate 2024 Wish List

Share

Of all the jewelry you’ve laid eyes on this year, would you be able to select just one piece for your holiday wish list?

That’s what I asked (as I’ve done in years past) some of the hardest-working members of our industry: jewelry publicists. These movers and shakers sure see plenty of great designs, and here they share their favorite pieces of the year—only one each—that we all might like to find nestled in our stocking this holiday. May all your jewelry wishes come true!

“My signature style is all about layering. I’m a firm believer that more is more when it comes to jewelry.

“My wrist stack is almost complete, and this holiday season I’ve been eyeing the Oera pavé scatter bangle by Tabayer. The asymmetry flatters the wrist, combining comfort and boldness to create a statement piece that can be worn solo or stacked. This bangle is an investment piece—timeless and perfectly capturing the Tabayer look: simplicity and beauty that exudes luxury.”

“I am due with my first baby in January, and I can’t help myself from thinking about all of the fun customized jewelry options out there to commemorate this. I love the signature knife-edge oval link chain this ID bracelet [by Lizzie Mandler] has paired with the diamonds, and I would love to get his initials added once the baby arrives. This piece feels chic and timeless and something that can be passed down in the family for generations.”

“This year I really began to establish my ‘everyday’ jewelry wardrobe. As a result, I have a handful of pieces I never take off. I cannot live without my Lagos Caviar bracelets—I wear three or four on any given day—or my Cartier classics. My wrist stack has been what I’ve focused on most, and in trying to build one, I’ve found I am still in search of an updated take on a classic that has personality but can still stand the test of time.

“However, I have been eyeing this astounding Ant tennis bracelet from Cocoerow, which is unlike anything I’ve come across. Ironically I am painfully allergic to ants, yet I love that it embodies the strength of womanhood in ant society. It would be the perfect piece to add to my stack, serving as a constant reminder of the remarkable women in my life. Plus, who doesn’t want a rainbow of precious gemstones on them 24/7? Santa, if you’re reading this, I’m a Size 7.”

“If I could choose one thing to be gifted this year, it would be Shahla Karimi’s new Azadi Ring With Wraps. I love that it’s mixed metal in yellow gold and platinum, so it would go with all my jewelry, and it features two rare-cut diamond stones: half-moon and kite. The puff bezel settings also make it really practical for wearing day to day.”

“This holiday season coincides with my 14-year wedding anniversary, meaning there had to be something extra special on my wish list. I instantly fell in love with these newly designed bow earrings by Rahaminov. I have been searching for the perfect evening earrings, versatile enough that I can wear on a date night or a black-tie event. The elegance of the diamonds with the playfulness of the movement makes it the perfect day-night earring. The Movál diamonds give it the perfect sparkle that will capture the attention of everyone in the room.”

“I’ve been obsessed with this [Guzema Chainfall] ring since I first encountered it in person earlier this year. I have never seen anything like it. It is innovative and charming. However, my skepticism got the better of me. I was convinced it would ‘hang’ on things or the chains would get caught all the time. But then I tried it on, even wore it for a long time at a press event. The caress of the chains feels comforting, and the links never once got caught in my glove, my pocket, my phone case. They say ‘Seeing is believing,’ but in fine jewelry I think perhaps trying on—or wearing—is believing.

“I heard that one of Guzema’s clients is a professional pianist and wears this ring constantly when she plays piano. It never gets hung up in the keys, and the pianist loves the way it sparkles and catches the eye as she plays. Made a true believer out of this publicist, for sure.”

“I have been on the hunt for a new link chain, as I have acquired a couple new charms this year. I love this one from Lionheart. It is substantial without being much too heavy. Perfect for everyday but also for special occasions. I love the vintage feeling it gives off while still being modern and sleek. Also, the fact that you can wear it a number of ways it such a perk.”

“This modernist ring by Sarah Straussberg is my gift of choice for the holidays, and it’s not just because it’s stunning—it’s because it feels personal. My husband, Rory, is an architect, and his love for clean, thoughtful design has deeply influenced my own appreciation for jewelry that combines simplicity with artistry. What draws me to this piece is how much is happening within its subtlety. It’s like wearing four designs in one. Each quarter of the ring has its own unique texture and diamond shape, creating a quietly dynamic effect. The combination of princess-cut and baguette diamonds, arranged with asymmetric elegance, speaks to the beauty of contrast, while the brushed matte finish in 18k yellow gold gives it a modern yet timeless feel.”

“I would love the gift of happiness, purity, joy, luck—the beautiful handcrafted gold ring from Gwen Barba as a gift to bring into the new year. The lily of the valley symbolizes a return to happiness—it’s hopeful and comforting.”

“This is always so hard just to choose one wish-list piece, because obviously I want multiple pieces. And as all the designers are building new pieces and collections, behind the scenes I’m always choosing my favorites before we launch anything new. So the jewelry addiction is continuous.

“But if I must choose, Onirikka’s diamond wave choker necklace from the Glimmer collection is the must-have investment heirloom piece. Designed meticulously to lay across the neck in the most graceful way, with diamond elements set in 18k yellow gold, it is a non-regrettable piece to purchase.”
