Las Vegas is always the site of high profile events during the jewelry shows and this past week was no different. In addition to official JCK Las Vegas events, associations and manufacturers went all out when introducing new products and services.
A short list of the many events and debuts at the show, include:
• Platinum Guild International – USA served as sponsor for the annual WJA Platinum Diva Awards. The five winners were selected prior to the JCK ~ Las Vegas Show and were announced at a press conference held at the Platinum Pavilion on Friday, May 30 where the winning pieces were on display for the first time. In addition to being awarded a $1,000 cash prize, all winners were also given a promotional package from PGI valued at more than $10,000. The winners were: Lisa Krikawa, Platinum Everyday 3-Ring Bridal; Jill MacKay, Platinum Diva 3-Ring Bridal; Carley McGee, Platinum Bridal Jewelry; Erica Courtney, Platinum Diva Bridal Jewelry; and Joana Miranda, Platinum and Natural Color Diamond Jewelry. • Christina Aguiliera, the new face of Stephen Webster, performed at Pure to commemorate the launch of his new sterling silver line.
• Design duo Badgley Mischka debuted a new line of bridal jewelry this year in Vegas.
