Jewelry Brand Launches in Virtual Reality

New UK jewelry brand roque will debut its first collection, Infinite Possibilities, using Holition, a 3-D virtual reality application, at Coutts London Jewellery Week, June 6–14.

Holition allows users to try on jewelry virtually and swap gemstones by touching a button. To enable 3-D viewing, the user wears a symbol on her finger and stands in front of a Web cam. The technology merges the 3-D jewelry into real-time video of the person so that the jewelry, in this case a ring, can be viewed from all angles as the user moves her hand.
