Share

Jewelers Mutual has acquired Union Life & Casualty (UL&C), a Phoenix-based pawnbroker insurance agency.

No financial terms were disclosed.

Following the purchase’s completion, UL&C will join forces with JM Insurance Agency Partners, a Jewelers Mutual subsidiary.

Founded in 1965, UL&C specializes in pawnshops, as well as trade stores, gold buyers, check cashers, coin dealers, and consignment stores.

“I believe this acquisition will allow us to create a more powerful force in the pawn industry, ultimately leading to even better products and experiences for our current and future customers,” said Jon Walker, president and CEO at UL&C, in a statement.
