Jewelry designer Megan Baker of Baker & Black combines vintage styling with modern sculptural effects in a new pair of sweetly styled mace studs. The triangle-shape prongs remind Baker of mace designs, though “these weren’t inspired by a mace,” she tells JCK. They are made in 18k gold with turquoise cabochons from the Campitos mine in Sonora, Mexico, and diamond accents. I like these earrings for everyday wear, especially in the summer when their bright pop of turquoise will have admirers seeing colors reminiscent of the Caribbean.
