Jen’s Obsession: Baggins’ Tiny Akoya Studs in Gold

Last Friday’s stud story opened my eyes to my next obsession: little akoya pearls set in a fun starburst design from Baggins. The pearl jewelry maker typically creates oversize South Sea numbers, but this pair of petite akoyas offers entry-level collectors a way to buy into the high-end line. The earrings are ideal for mixing with others for a mismatched effect, or for placement in second (or third) piercings. In 14k gold, the pair retail for $180, and I’ve already asked Anil Maloo, Baggins’ president, to save a yellowish pair for me to be picked up at JCK LUXURY next month.
