Welcome to our special Las Vegas edition! Almost the entire industry has been in Sin City since Wednesday or Thursday for the JCK, Luxury, and Couture shows, and if you’re not worn out by now, good on you. (We certainly are.) We’ll be here till Monday, and there’s still plenty to see and do. A suggestion: Save the rest of your shopping until Monday, and spend Sunday taking in some terrific JCK Talks panels and attending the signature Vegas Jewelry Week events.
And when you get back home, don’t forget about these auctions: Magnificent Jewels on June 7 at Christie’s New York, starring the 126.76 ct. pear brilliant-cut Light of Peace diamond; Magnificent Jewels on June 8 at Sotheby’s New York, featuring the 55.22 ct. cushion-cut Estrela de Fura ruby and the 10.57 ct. cushion mixed cut fancy vivid purplish-pink Eternal Pink diamond; and the New York Watch Auction: Eight on June 10 and 11 at Phillips New York, which comprises some 120 (!) timepieces from makers including Patek Philippe, Rolex, F.P. Journe, Audemars Piguet, and more (note the Roger Smith Pocket Watch No. 2, estimated at more than $1 million).
