Two chapters of the Women’s Jewelry Association are holding fun events this week, in Boulder, Colo., and Miami. Up the Florida coast, the newly combined auctioneer Freeman’s | Hindman is holding a tropics-themed Palm Beach sale. And New Yorkers will have the privilege of hearing goldsmith Deborah Meyers discuss her career and craft at the 92nd Street Y. A good week all around!

WJA miami eventWJA Miami hosts a networking event at Studio B where attendees are invited to pose for free professional headshots while enjoying refreshments and light bites with industry peers. The chapter will also hold an open board meeting as part of the event.

WJA Colorado Meet the Designer: Feb. 22, 6 p.m. MT (in person)

Meet award-winning American artist and designer Todd Reed at his Pearl Street Studio in Boulder. Known for incorporating natural and recycled metals and raw diamonds into one-of-a-kind jewels, Reed will take part in a Q&A starting promptly at 6:30 p.m., preceded by light bites and drinks—all brought to you by WJA Colorado.

The 92NY Center for Culture & Arts is hosting a talk—titled “Creativity as a Tool for Self-Reliance: A Goldsmithing Journey”—by Deborah Meyers, a goldsmith and studio jeweler based in New York City specializing in luxurious artisanal jewelry. She will speak about her career, inspirations, craftsmanship techniques, and “how the creative process can make us all more human.” Admission is free, and the program is open to the public.

Freeman’s | Hindman Palm Beach Jewelry Sale: Feb. 22, 10 a.m. ET (in person and online)

The 259 lots in the Freeman’s | Hindman Palm Beach Jewelry auction were selected to evoke the tropics through the use of yellow gold, turquoise, coral, and pearls. From contemporary makers such as Irene Neuwirth and Elizabeth Locke to vintage heavies like Nardi and David Webb, the offerings are rich in deluxe beach-inspired style.
