The 1916 Company—the newly launched brand comprising Watchbox, Govberg, Radcliffe, and Hyde Park Jewelers—is sponsoring a traveling jewelry exhibition in partnership with the Parisian journalist Eleonor Picciotto and her jewelry-focused platform, The Eye of Jewelry. The exhibit, which kicked off in Miami on Nov. 30, showcases collections by contemporary jewelry designers Suzanne Syz, Alexandra Rosier, Selim Mouzannar, and Elie Top. The NYC show takes place at 595 Madison Ave., open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 4–6. Then the exhibition moves to Radcliffe Jewelers in Baltimore.

At Bonhams, the headliner of the New York Jewels auction is a rare 1930s Chanel gem-set and enamel Maltese cross cuff attributed to Verdura for Chanel, originally owned by actress Helen Hayes, the “first lady of the American theater,” and coming to market for the first time. But that’s not all: Prospective buyers should look out for impressive blue, pink, and white diamonds along with an exceptional collection of colored gemstones and natural pearls.

Hindman’s Important Jewelry auction in Chicago features diamonds and other precious stones of all cuts and varieties from several private collections, along with sections dedicated to the estates of Marguerite Hark and Linda O’Neil Porteous as well as the Ernest and Ella Brummer collection.

On Dec. 6, Christie’s stages its Magnificent Jewels auction in New York, the traditional cap to a season of prestige sales. The standout lot is a sensational pair of earrings with fancy vivid orange-yellow oval mixed-cut diamonds of 12.20 and 11.96 carats, estimated to fetch $7 million to $12 million. Come for the mega-bling and stay for the Jewels Online sale, which closes Dec. 8.

The talking piece of Phillips’ ninth New York watch auction is an important, exceptionally preserved pink gold perpetual chronograph reference 1518 Patek Philippe, appearing on the market after 23 years in the same collection, with an estimate of $1.2 million to $2.4 million. Additional highlights from the sale include a Rolex “Paul Newman Lemon” Daytona ref. 6264, an extremely rare Patek Philippe Nautilus “Jumbo” reference 3700/1 in white gold, and early F.P. Journe Tourbillon Souverain and Résonance watches with matching serial numbers of 043.
