JCK Industry Fund Announces 2025 Grant Recipients

Ten organizations will receive 2025 grants from the JCK Industry Fund, in support of initiatives that can have a long-lasting positive impact on the jewelry industry.

“For over 25 years, we have been committed to fostering growth and positive change in the jewelry community,” said Sarin Bachmann, senior vice president for RX’s jewelry portfolio (which includes JCK) and chair of the JCK Industry Fund committee, in a statement. “It is critical to invest in projects that promote inclusivity, sustainability, and consumer confidence, ensuring a brighter future for the industry. We are proud to support this year’s recipients as they pave the way for growth and innovation.”

The 2025 JCK Industry Fund recipients and their initiatives are:

Black in Jewelry Coalition (BIJC): introducing emerging designers in the Design Collective at the 2026 JCK show in Las Vegas, providing business training for them, and implementing a mentor program to guide the designers in postshow follow-ups

Diamonds Do Good (DDG): a multichannel media campaign to educate consumers about the benefits of purchasing diamonds, building on the success of DDG’s 2024 campaign

Gem Legacy: scholarships and mining tool kits to promote education, economic advancement, and diversity within East African gem mining communities

Jewelers of America (JA) x BIJC: the Emerging Jewelers Accelerator Program, designed to foster diversity in the fine jewelry industry by empowering participants with resources for successful business growth

Jewelers’ Security Alliance (JSA): the development and testing of a mobile device application with improved security protocols, quality control measures, and design enhancements

Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC): educational outreach regarding the Federal Trade Commission’s Green Guides, assistance navigating industry challenges, and updates to JVC’s “Essential Guide to the U.S. Trade in Materials From Plant and Wildlife Products.”

Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA): the Mentor & Apprenticeship Program, updates to the Be a Jeweler website, social media content, and the creation of an apprenticeship management system to attract prospective bench jewelers

Mercury Free Mining (MFM): the development and deployment of polymer-based gold extraction kits to assist global artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) communities

Pure Earth: improvements to mercury-free mining in Madre de Dios, Peru, including solar panels, automation, data collection, and educational outreach

The Jewelry Edit Foundation: the production of a series of educational videos for emerging and diverse jewelers, which will focus on business practices, sustainability, and following through after trade shows to maximize opportunities

Since its inception in 1997, the JCK Industry Fund has awarded over $7 million in grants. Attendees of JCK 2025 in Las Vegas can donate to the fund when registering for the show or securing booth space.
