Beginning next year, Jared will add Pandora shop-in-shops to 200 of its stores carrying the company’s charms and jewelry.
This will expand Pandora’s footprint in Jared stores to 150 square feet and means the superstore will carry more of the company’s jewelry, including earrings and rings.
Jared currently sells Pandora products in 239 of its stores, out of a total 268. Jared also has shop-in-shops for LeVian and TAG Heuer watches, as well as for proprietary brands Neil Lane and Tolkowsky.
Scott Burger, president of Pandora Americas, said in a statement that the new boutiques will give customers “a better shopping experience at retail” and that Jared has been “an important part of building the brand in North America.”
The Signet-owned retail chain first tested Pandora charms in 2008 and expanded the program to nearly all its stores in 2009. It recently started carrying Alex and Ani, another charm brand.
Pandora has been pressuring independent retailers to upgrade to shop-in-shops.
Signet CEO Mark Light said, “The Pandora brand has been attracting an incremental customer base to Jared for years, and we’re confident that the more branded presence of a shop-in-shop…will serve an even greater number of Pandora collectors, especially with the planned assortment expansion.”
