James Avery is going big with its new 22,000-square-foot regional office and retail store in Cedar Park, Texas, creating a space for its employees and clients to enjoy not only the jewelry found there but also the inspiration that led to its making.
The regional office location and design aims to show the brand’s values as well as the traditions that are associated with the James Avery name, officials said in a statement. It is inside a building known as The Artisan at James Avery Plaza.
Michael Hsu Office of Architecture designed the facility to sit within a parklike setting that includes a large expanse of oaks, green spaces for meetings, and pedestrian trails for long walks. The idea was to reflect the same setting found at the James Avery Hill Country headquarters, officials said.
The area has walking paths around the nine-acre property as well as outdoor gathering spaces. It is located about two miles from other retailers and restaurants, making it convenient for the staff that works there as well, the company said.
“The building is positioned to take advantage of the beautiful terrain of the site and the wonderful trees,” said CEO John McCullough. “Nestled onto nine acres, this building was designed to incorporate many of the materials used on our main Kerrville campus and executed with a contemporary look and feel.”
In total, James Avery employs more than 2,800 people in its corporate, retail, and manufacturing centers. It has about 1,000 in Hill Country and 650 in Kerrville.
To date, James Avery has more than 100 stores in four states. Its jewelry is also available online and at more than 220 Dillard’s locations as well as its website.
“Although our corporate offices will remain in Kerrville, as they have for over 65 years, we’re excited to expand our facilities in Cedar Park,” McCullough said in a statement. “Our teams have worked very hard on the impressive building and beautiful workspace.”
